I've got to be a stickler for the facts here. Earlier in this thread it was stated that the EVERYDAY Price was $1,199 on March 1. Theres a thread on the RGO Site that states the Everyday price was $1299 on March 17th. For summer Namm it was announced at $1399 and now your website says that the EVERYDAY price will be $1499. That's a pretty significant increase. I even remember an introductory price of $1099.

I wanted to get V-Comp but the price has increased significantly to the point where I might as well think about DIY.
Since I've been watching the V-Comp since it was announced, I find your summary glosses over a few things. From the start there was always going to be a $100 price difference between 6BA6 and the 6386 units. The very first units that went for sale I think were at $1099, they were 6BA6's and it was clear this was a special price and an attempt to get as much interest as possible in the unit and the price would not last. The 6386's might have been offered at the time as a $100 upgrade, but again, it was clear (to me at least) that this was a short time, special offer for people who'd been following Audioscape via social media - email list, Instagram, etc.
The price after those special sales was $100 more for each, so for the 6386 it would be $1299. That was, as you point out, last March. Since then the price has gone up to $1399. At that price, these units typically sell out when offered in less than 6 or so hours.
Regardless of nomenclature $100 is not a significant increase. I agree Audioscape could tighten up their language - "introductory" "everyday" "special offer", but this seems like a pretty minor complaint. Maybe it's a language barrier thing, but regardless of the words, I've understood all along what was going on.
Demand far out paces supply at this price point. If you're not a small business owner who is constantly checking vendor prices and measuring profit margins, let me suggest he is actually under selling his product. But hey, if he makes enough to make it worth his time at this price, more power to him.
If you can build it yourself, then why don't you? The ability to build or make something yourself is not really a negotiating strategy. No one lowers their price because some rando on the Internet can build it themselves cheaper.
Personally, I wish I had made the first two cuts at $1099 as I have a few 6386 tubes rolling around as backups for my Retro Sta, but I'm slow on the keyboard I guess. I've almost bought the V the last couple go rounds when they were still in stock when I get up (3am, I'm a baker), but I've got one insert left on my patchbay for a comp and I'm holding out to see if either Audioscape offers another Mu I might be more interested in (176 would be nice) or Locomotive has a Black Friday discount on the 14b or somebody desperate dumps their Retro 176.
