So glad to see Fiver getting so much love. I could easily see this being mentioned in the "Top 5 eq" discussion threads in the near future. (Outside nebula of course)

Im hoping that the Red Valve eq (fearn) I saw posted a while back will be released soon as well.

I've noticed the level drops a tiny bit when Fiver is inserted,
Yes, I noticed this and that even with all EQ off, running a stereo mix thru FIVER gives a touch of added weight.

yeah, also wondering about the portico comparison. I just remember how incredibly expensive they were when they came out. the few ones that bought them also said they sounded "different" (better) than "standard" plugins.
I've just compared it with Steinberg RND 5033 EQ plug. It's much much better than FIVER. The low freq is fat and the highs are super sweet. It has a nice roundness when instantiate the plug-in. But then again, its way too expensive to buy :(

The HF freq on FIVER is way way off. Stein 12k is marked at 3 o'clock while FIVER is at 10 o'clock mark. The 4K HF mark, i'm not even sure if its a 4k as the 2 markings below it is already 12k.

The 6k on FIVER is much harsher than Stein RND 6k at 2 db boost. I had to reduce the Q all the way down to reduce the harshness. The lows, not as fat as Stein's plug but near enough.

Overall, its still a good plug but won't be using it much for work

Ok, where would you put DDMF 6144..? under or above fiver..? after the time you've spent on RND 5033..
Thanks

Correct freq value, DDMF 6144 above FIVER and sound wise, FIVER above DDMF 6144.

Just to add some extra infos:

DDMF 6144 come close to Stein plugin with all its frequencies and you need to boost 140Hz to sound alike Stein plug. FIVER is the closest to Stein plug but not useable due to wrong HF freq and the Hi mid freq has lots of harshness. LP/HF on FIVER is also way way off, rolling off the highs and lows while DDMF and Stein does not.

I hope this can be fix and get it really close to the hardware
