Hello,
I made a little freebie Kontakt instrument.
I recorded an old Atari 2600(Darth Vader model with various games) to a very old Teac reel to reel and then recorded the tape and chopped up the sounds and mapped them into Kontakt(5.2.1 or higher is needed).
Comes with presets and MULTI's : There are drums, blips, drones, synthy pads. Atari sounds have been stretched over long key ranges and give some nice lo-fi artifacts when low keys are played, all good for lo-fi music and background sounds.
Sounds pretty amazing. Definitely picking this one up. Have gotten a lot of use out of your Sid Vicious.
Thanks - I remember the track called transmodic.
Wonky tape Atari started off as some taped Atari 2600 sounds I made for my own music experiments. I quite liked what the old tape machine did to the sounds so I decided to just bung it out as a little freebie.
I would quite like to make a volume 2 of Sid Vicious as I still have the commodore 64 and the c64 sampler cartridge.
Oh, don't forget to press the dice on the front panel 'wood grain' for random patch
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks, Steve. This is pretty awesome. I collaborated on a record called "The 8-Bit Construction Set" back in the day, and this is certainly easier than burning e-proms or coding in an old 6502 tracker
