Oops! We just realized that we forgot to share with you some of our most recent and exciting updates.

Sorry for the delay, we've been working hard in the meantime, and here are some of the results

*TrainYourEars has updated its Ear Training software for Sound Engineers to version 2.1*

Many users requested the ability to use both Sonarworks Reference 3 and Waves NX plugins together while training so now they can.

These are the most important changes:
  • New languages - Russian and Italian: TrainYourEars now speaks both Russian and Italian. Thanks to Alexej Kivachuk and Claudio Meloni for the translation.
  • 3 VST/AU plugin slots: Many requested the ability to use both Sonarworks Reference 3 and Waves NX at the same time while training. Added a third slot too, just in case.
  • Waves compatibility: Added compatibility with the waveshell of Waves so you can use the new Waves NX plugin.
  • Mono and mute shortcuts: Some of you have been using the mono switch while listening to the equalised signal to compare between mono and stereo. That's not something expected but we are really glad to see how you are finding new ways to push the training forward. Added the mute as well to quickly cut the sound, just in case.
  • Control play/pause with spacebar: This was a very popular request, so here it is. Play and pause the Audio player using the space bar.
  • Some bug fixes: Fixed some small bugs, nothing fancy. And a bigger one, which sometimes made low frequency noises when moving sliders in correct mode.[/INDENT]

*New Medium-Advanced Exercise Package available*

We have released a medium-advanced package made by the mastering engineer Andrea Zanini. This is a new set of exercises to sharpen your frequency recognition and skills. We hope you enjoy it!

Hate to be that guy but... I missed this last sale and this looks quite interesting as a personal stocking-stuffer. Maybe for travel for downtime and such. Any chance of another holiday sale anytime soon?

Cheers!

R.

P.S. Regardless at least I'm subscribed to thread now and we get to read about updates etc.

TrainYourEars has updated its Ear Training software for Sound Engineers to version 2.2

These are some of the improvements of the new version:
  • MacOS Sierra fix:
The protection/activation system we use was not compatible with Sierra, but they have released a fix and we have a working version now.
  • New language:
Our software has been translated to the Turkish language. Thanks to Ufuk ร–nen for the translation. TrainYourEars 2.2 is now available in 8 languages!

  • New "Import Folder" function:
Due to popular request, it is now possible to import a folder of exercises at once.

  • TrainYourEars now remembers the last selected song when opening the software.
  • We've added new buttons to reorder songs. This was another popular request, so here it is.
  • TYE saves the last selected exercise when opening the program too.
  • New buttons to reorder exercises.
  • And finally, we fixed some minor bugs and improved the overall performance.

The update is free for all TrainYourEars EQ Edition 2 owners.

Owners of TYE1 can upgrade going to upgrade.trainyourears.com.

New Live Training video: 2 Bands in a 7 Frequencies Equalizer

In this video Alex Mars, from XSSR Academy, takes a quick look at a training exercise called "Find 2 bands in a 7 frequencies equalizer".

The main goal of this exercise is to find 2 frequencies that are changed in the audio source and correct them. As Alex suggests, listen carefully and don't be afraid to play with the bands. You'll have to make a decision on how the audio sounds and how to make it better.

During the exercise, Alex uses a Coins' album called "Daft Science", available here.

New Quick Sound Modulations Package

Hi!

We bring you a new set of exercises to train your ears and have fun this month.

Its author is Andrei Georgescu, a 23-year-old certified Bitwig Studio Professional who created the previous exercise package, "Slow Sound Modulations".

This new package is in the same vein of training your ears using non-static modulations in order to train them more for complex real world application than a purely static modulation could do.

Is there any plan to do smaller than 3db in the future? (1 or 2db?)

Especially useful for guys who are using this for things like mastering that need more precision.

Bought train your ears a couple of days ago, I'm very happy with the program! I train 10-15 minutes for everyday. And will to continue to do so. @ TrainYourEars is there a possibility you guys will be coming out with a compression version? That'd be so extremely helpful too! and an android/apple app would be awesome too so we can practice on the go!

Cheers,
Afroham
