I just can't wait for the day when our chips will have hundreds of cores and we can laugh about "can you believe those old P4 chips only had 1 core? Just ONE! Haha." That will be the day.

It buggs me that they would not just keep the same socket so us folks that just spent $700 bucks on a cpu could upgrade as opposed to having to replace the motherboard. On the otherhand the new motherboards look nice.

You know, Intel made an statement not too long ago about 100 cores within 10 years.
