Mackie controller
Have you been using yours yet?
Is it installed? Ordered? |
nope nope and nope... waiting on MOTU on this one. proper driver wont be released until 3.1 to take full advantage of the controller and extension packs.
and as i say that i keep getting more and more accustomed to the mouse every day. oh and i have hooked up my BIG wacom tablet to the Mac, now thats real interesting using a pen to control faders and knobs.... plus the 5 button+wheel mouse puts shortcuts right in the palm of my hand. man, i havent even played with a mackie control yet. soon though. |
If it behaves like the Logic Control (and it should), you'll wonder how you got along without it.rollz
|
Logic Control is now $799 at guitar center...I was waiting for Logic/protools to support the mackie control...and I was waiting for AES to see if any new options pop up...but this is getting tempting...could always buy it... and sell it for not much less when there is a better option...Hmmmm diddlydoo

i hear the logic control and the mackie control are two entirely different beasts... just the outside is the same. i also heard the mackie control wont work with logic, and the logic control wont work with other platforms. kinda strange. wonder if thats true.

My chum Bev (a Logic user) has a half baked doubt that Logic has worked out a special conduit / super midi connection to Logic Control. He wonders..... If the MOTU connection will be quite as.... 'marvy' a connection, whatever..... Not trying to pee on the campfire here Alpha just passing on thoughts, perhaps worth investigation.

well the midi or faders works as a pitch control so i doubt they have some special thing happening... but MOTU does have the fastest midi timing in the industry i believe.
