I wonder if the non-standard (some might even say elegant) optics of the sphere mic played a role in its being allowed such a prominent place in the frame...

It even looks oddly 'in place', as if it's just another musician, given the social distancing....it really should be wearing a mask tho' !

Seems that there was no shortage of cameras to allow for close-ups, but if it had been closer to a conventional concert setting with audience, I don't see why a few cavities couldn't have been bored into the KFM and a set of 2 or 3 GoPro cameras installed ....apart from ruining its resale value of course ?
