Wikipedia says you're living in Berlin, what's happening there musically right now?
Obviously they're famous for their techno scene, but are there any rock bands that have come onto your radar? I know probably not much happening since COVID, but...?

In my early years (2005-10) many rock bands moved from all over the world to live and work in Berlin. There was so little response and opportunity that most of them left, and Berlin-- like most places in Europe and USA did NOT have much use for the old rock-n-roll format, no! That's why I went to Argentina so much,, guitars are a way of life there, and Jimmy Page is practically a saint! Not unusual to get into a taxi at midnight and the driver is smoking a cigarette with the windows rolled up blasting AC/DC live and ZZ Top
at earsplitting volumes. There are wonderful NON techno musicians all over Berlin-- there are two of my favorites: 1. Super700 https://open.spotify.com/album/6DQTc9xr83V7tw9xK99K4g 2. AnnaVR https://open.spotify.com/track/7w8DDf8tTeCjbl3WtHoTCE and if you havent seen this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0Nf...OPSIBxRrn-gPAv |
Cool, thanks for the links! Any cool Argentinian bands we should know about?

Here's two songs I produced with amazing young artists in Buenos Aires last time I visited: (thanks for asking)

Those tracks are fantastic! Make me want to move to Argentina.

The guitar playing on the first track is right up my street. Simple and elegant.

What are/were your favorite spots pre-covid to see music in Berlin? I'm more familiar with techno spots-have only been to Schokoladen otherwise, which was cool.
|
I loved White Trash when it was on Schönhauser Allee great music would just magically appear there very frequently. I liked Schokoladen too, yes.
