Cubase 6.5 - Bounce is time stretched?

Hey guys I wasn't sure where to put this post... but here goes.

When I bounce from in-between the locator's the bounced audio file is stretched out side of the locator's? I have searched quite a lot but to no avail.. *when I time-stretch the audio back to the original size the timbre or the sound has changed :/. I have attached some pictures of what I mean.. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

I don't use Cubase but two things to check off the top of my head:

Make sure the sample rate you're bouncing to matches the SR of the project.

Make sure bounce region heads/tails are disabled. I don't know if this is a Cubase feature but some DAWs add extra "tape" before and after the bounce region for MIDI resets, reverb tails, etc. If your DAW has this feature you will find it in bounce settings.

No worries mate it happens to the best of us... it happened to Van Halen's playback guy during a show a few years ago.

I generally only see 48k when I'm dealing with audio-for-video or old ADAT sessions. But I also use an Orion32 with the sample rate in huge numbers in bright red LED's so it's hard to mistake.
