mixing sub frequency on headphones?

my 5" tannoy wont get below 50hz and my headphones do..

is it possible mixing only the sub with the headphones and mixing the rest with my monitors? - can i mix accurately this way?

Yes but realize sub bass is felt more than heard.
Like any good mix checking it in a car with a sub or even getting it played at a
club will reveal if there is too much. You only need a few db.
Headphones are good for checking reverb tails and delays.

It depends on you and the phones. Accuracy depends on the phones and if your ears are trained to those phones.
It could be and it could not be possible, but time will tell.

Headphones are used for checking mixes, so there is no reason why you cannot check the lows with them, as long as the can reproduce the low end with no added exaggeration.
