time is not important. only sound is.

I'll assume you're being facetious or that you are an immortal hobbyist because in any professional context time *always* matters.

Downloaded the demo, it is a pretty enjoyable plugin so far. Hard to resist at $39 intro price.

Today I returned from vacation and had the chance to listen better on my studio monitors. Really impressive sound. I love the filter. The lows are massive, now that I listened through my 8" speakers. This and Eight-Voice are definitely my favourites, but I also got CA2600 and DCO-106 which are good emulations as well.

I'll be enjoying these ones and definitely be interested in any future releases. Like say, a CS80!

It is no secret that I did presets for the Memorymode,
and my positive posts about Cherry Audio products
have met with some negative “you’re paid by
Cherry Audio to be a shill for them” replies.

My involvement with Cherry Audio came about
because before I was on the sound design team,
I was a customer, and I was so impressed with
the sound of their CA 2600 that I emailed them
to say how much I dug it. And I still am a Cherry
Audio “believer”. When I got the beta version of
Memorymode, I was like well now we’re cooking with
gas, this sounds awesome. It went through some
revisions before final release, of course, but the
sound was there from the beginning. I do programming
for a lot of vendors, and if I feel the sound or
features for a VI isnt happening, I am honest
and offer my opinion that it needs to be fixed.

Here’s an interesting thing..a few days ago I
went to Perfect Circuit here in Burbank, where
all the uber pricey synths, including Buchla
modulars, are on display. I imagined myself
having 30 grand to blow on any synths I wanted,
and test-drove their Moog One again. And you know,
I wasn’t THAT impressed with it this time, thanks
to having Memorymode in my arsenal now.
Yes the Moog One is not a Memorymoog reissue,
it does sound great, but as a sound designer I can get that Moog vibe now with Memorymode. Ditto
for the other CA synths..I really feel I don’t need
a Korg or Behringer ARP 2600 now, Cherry’s
CA 2600 sounds close enough to hardware that
I have that sound covered for music production.
And for far less than what I’d shell out for the
hardware.

You're a, "shill," for Cherry Audio? Wow, people have that much hate...

I have zero GAS anymore since the last couple of years for HW synths, Cherry Audio, U-He, Roland, Korg, Arturia, TAL and Softube (and a few others) are on par to HW to me. With none of the clocksync, midi/usb and other hassles.

Total recall is also a big plus.

Ok, I basically agree. However, Elktron Overbridge is amazing.

That being said... IMHO, software has been on par with HW for a very, very long time.

And you forgot Xils-Lab, which currently has some of the most beautiful sounding oscillators, filters, and VCA's around

Second that with Xils-Lab.

The Xils Poly KBIII is a gorgeous alternative to any 70s analog poly made. Beautiful and flexible.

Well, I have two friends who are current and long-time owners of Memorymoogs, who seem to be very impressed with the Memorymode plugin. Waiting to hear from the third...
