looking for a windows x64 software midi router

My hardware midi patchbay broke.

For an immediate replacement i am looking for a reliable "patchbay software". Routing, merging, that kind of stuff.

A quick count on my computer system shows 7 midi in and out pairs on various controllers and interfaces, ready to use.

It shouldnt cost a fortune, and i wouldnt mind if its freeware, since it just needs to fill a gap.

Thanks!

Hi,
Which DAW software are you using? Most DAW software that I know of which have MIDI sequencing abilities can already act like a patch bay and router. Unless you are looking to do the routing with out the computer.

Usually i do the routing out of the box.

To fill the temporary gap i would like to do it in the computer, but out of the DAW (which is Cubase 8).

HI,
MIDI OX and/or MIDI yoke might be able to but hasn't been updated in years and not sure if it will work on a 64 bit OS.
I think it is mainly for sending/patching in between applications.
Pretty easy and quick to do inside of Cubase. Probably just as complicated as trying to do it in some stand alone application.

MIDI Yoke has routing features but does not work on x64 systems. Take a look at LoopBe. I think it's what your are looking for.

Take a look at the Soundigy MIDI Patchbay (both Standard and Extended versions). It has really cool and user friendly GUI. The 8x8 is a freeware I think.

Cheers,
Peter

Works with W10 64 bit.
