Asus P5k-VM and dreaded coil wind and processor noise

Hello, I have an noise issue maybe some of you can assist me with.

I've striped down the computer where the mobo and built in video and audio and one single ram chip are on the desk.

I was getting a coil winding up noise through the powered speakers.

I pulled my sound card and placed it into a different machine via the same powered speakers.

No noise at all.

Hrmm.

So the asus p5k-vm is the source.
I even took the psu from the noiseless computer and put it on the asus mobo.

Noise still there.

I've tried grounding the mobo. Nope. Noise still there.

Any gurus out in GS land care to help out?

Please and thanks in advance.
