U-He Diva Ableton CPU Killer.

Loving the diva vst, such analogue, amaze fatness. But... I kills my cpu especially on ableton, Its not so bad on studio one, I'd be surprised if my cpu is the problem because im using an i7 4770K overclocked to 4.2Ghz, Is this plug in known for taking a dump on the cpu specifically? any solutions? Thanks!

Yes, Diva can eat lots of CPU. Try enabling the Multicore button on Diva's GUI. Also change Accuracy to "great" or even "draft" (but leave OfflineAcc to "Divine").

Are you running your DAWs in 32 or 64 bit?

That's not influencing the CPU consumption as much, really.

64 bit, hopefully U-He will release some sort of optimization.

It is already optimized as far as it's possible. Did you try the Multicore button and reducing Accuracy?

If it doesn't perform better, well then don't use Ableton, simple as that.

You should also consider taking advantage of Ableton Live's excellent Freeze and bounce or bounce your instrument to audio. Diva is really heavy on the CPU, it's a pretty well known fact and I doubt that it can be optimised any further or Urs and his crew would have done so already.

They already did that in v1.1 update...
