iMac A1311 Late 2009 for Production

Anybody using one of these? Found one locally for $300 without a hard drive. Tested and working good. I'm building another studio and wondering if its usable for Logic Pro 9 with tons of VSTs, Pro Tools 9, and the Adobe CS5 Collection. Has stock 4GB RAM which I plan on upgrading to 16GB.

I have a 2011 iMac i7 which is great but this is a Core 2 Duo and not sure how well they can handle this!

It is usable, but not as powerful as your i7.
I completed my last CD on a much lesser machine, had to freeze and bounce tracks during the mixing process.

Checkout this thread refer to the chart, it uses Logic to measure the relative performance of the various Macs in use.
