Routing in Cubase 5 Studio/Battery 3

Hey y'all,

So I was recently working on a project in Cubase 5 Studio, and I was trying to use the kick drum on a battery drum track to sidechain the rest of the mix to make it pop out slightly. However, I couldn't figure out how to send individual cells in battery 3 to audio tracks in cubase 5. I know how to route them to mono or stereo outputs in battery 3, but I can't seem to figure out how to use these as inputs in an audio track in cubase.

On a similar note, I also cannot figure out how to use multiple stereo outputs in cubase 5 studio. I wanted to have the entire mix of a song fade out except for strings, which would be on a separate stereo output. However, only stereo output 1 gives any sound, even if an audio track is routed to stereo output 2 and gives the indication on the mixer that it is playing, there is no audio from the speakers. I feel like this might have something to do with either the VST connections or something, but I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
