Microphone Noise

Mac > Apogee Duet 2 > M-Audio Sputnik Microphone ...

I attached a clip below.......sounds like muffled wind ...

The noise gets louder as I turn up the microphone notch on the duet 2...

I'm thinking it might be the 6 pin XLR cable going into the microphone.....

Any help would be appreciated

bump...??

nvm bottum connector is messed up..........solder wire came loose

Turn the gain down. Better still, get one of these instead.
Shure SM58 Boom Stand & Cable Bundle | DV247

Your mic is a condenser, probably too sensitive.

I had the same problem.
