How to change the vocal effect on a track (in logic) without losing other settings?

For example, I have a track with the 'male ambient vocal' effect. I have since added other plug ins to this track, such as melodyne, reverb etc.

Now I want to try around with other vocal effects, such as 'live performance' or 'male creamy lead vocal', but when do this, I lose all the other plugins i described above!

Is there any way round this? Even in Garageband, when I tried around with different vocal effects from the menu, the plugins remained.

Thanks

Safe way is duplicate track and copy content there and mute.
Easy way click the channel strip button and select copy channel strip setting, then just paste once you're done.
