Dual Mono output in Samp 8

Is it possible to set up a dual mono output section.

I ask as i wish to apply dual mono effects to the out put.

I was thinking there might be some way too set this up in Samplitude with the surround busses.

Maybe use just the left and right channels.

Then send them to the stereo master section.

May sound weird but can this be achieved?

Thanks

I may not be completely sure what you wish to do, so if this does not answer your question, I appologize..

You can make a channel "mono" by right-clicking on the pan knob in the mixer and turning the "stereo width" knob all the way counter clock-wise. (or just select 'mono' in the preset drop-down.)

This can be done for AUX and SUBMIX bus channels as well, so unless I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do, that should get you where you need to go.

I know its not Samplitude, but it may help. I do this in Cubase SX3 by creating a stereo sub-mix group and then using panned pre-fader sends to two seperate mono group channels. These are panned left and right and the stereo group sub-mix muted.

Hi Man.

Are you familiar with how protools allows individual left and right panning.

Does the stereo width knob in samp produce the same results only they are linked?

Cheers

No, sorry.

I realize I am exposing my inexperience, but am I understanding what "dual mono" is correctly?
Rather than sending the LEFT/RIGHT output to output 1/2 on your audio interface.. you want to send the LEFT to 1/2 and the RIGHT to 3/4?

Or am I completely clueless?
