I have a keyboard that needs to be hit unusually hard to get the full 127 velocity. I'm looking for a midi vst that would alter the velocity curve and increase the sensitivity.

You guys know of any good ones out there that are also free?

i think midiVelocityScaler by Insert Piz Here should do the trick:

in theory, you should be able to increase the range with your keyboard, but at the cost of reduced resolution.

I don't know what daw you use, but if it happens to be reaper there are several js plugs there that will do what you want. Not vst though, so if you're not using reaper I was not helpful!

not many devs seem willing to make a comprehensive Midi based plugin. I guess in the main it’s not something anyone would think they could charge for, and if they did would relish the idea of answering questions about why this or that Midi device doesn’t seem to work as expected, and so on. then in the midst of all that, have to maintain it for a potentially small amount of take up.

it’s a conundrum I’d suppose and there’s very little around likely because of it. if you use Reaper though, I’d say you got lucky because this one exists and in the round I’d say it’s probably the plugin I’d part with last. it’s actually exceptionally good imo.
