Recommend me delay plugins

I'm looking for interesting delay plugins, mostly the type that are unique and used to emphasize the last word of a verse or chorus (think Dave Pensado type delay/fx that he uses with his artists that is prevalent, especially in pop music). For Cubase.

my favourite "digital" delays are the psp 42 and 84

my favourite "analog" (in flavour, still a plugin) is the dubstation from audio damage

the UAD roland emulation one looks nice though..

PSP has a new multidelay out that's pretty good. I think it's the 608

Another vote for copy/paste. Probably quicker than instantiating a plugin, setting it up, and automating the send for one word at a time. If it gets to where you want to process the copies in a degenerative fashion (to simulate tape delay), well then you might have a toss-up on your hands.

What you want is sidechain compression ducking the delay in relation to the vocal, which will naturally emphasize the last word since their is no more vocal to duck the delay.

Use fast attack, medium release, and adjust ratio/threshold accordingly, usually doing GR of around 3-4 dB depending on taste. Remember to turn off any Auto Gain functions, and check out the knee setting (I prefer hard for this trick).

Set it right and it will sound perfectly natural without pumping or sounding messy. Unlike automating via volume/send, this will sound more natural and is a breeze to do.

Much used in dance music but equally applicable in pop/rock music.

Echoboy is amazing, but does it come in VST format? I think this guy needs it for Cubase. I was only aware of the TDM and Pro Tools LE formats. But if it does, I'll put in another vote for Echoboy! I don't know how I used to live without it!

Apparently, Analogic is just a VST clone of Logic's Tape Delay for PC users that didn't switch when Logic went Mac-only.

I used to have a ton of great presets I had built up in waves supertap for doing my vocal and guitar tricks...
but alas my pc and waves is no more and i'm on ptle and osx.

how does echoboy or that 608 multidelay compare? I've heard echoboy has some great emulations on there that compete pretty well with some of line's plugins for delay models.

re

I currently own Waves Supertab, but have tried a demo on tyhe PSP delays. I think they sound so much clearer, but it it just me who has done a bad job tweaking or are they jsut superior?

The PSP delays are nice. Obviously, two of them are based on a certain hardware unit that had certain characteristics. Can be pretty thin, but a desirable thin. 608 is good addition, in that you can have it sound completely character-less if you prefer. Just be careful with it. Honestly, I never use it, but it does what does.

Echoboy and Crystalizer are great. That Native effects bundle from Soundtoys is a friggin steal. Keep in mind, emphasis is on "warm", which means, a lot of character.
I love it, but it might not be what you're going for.

Echofarm sits somewhere between Echoboy and PSP's Emulated Delays in the "timbre" quality. If that makes any sense. Was playing with a Digi Venue, and threw the vocal through Echofarm. It worked. Haven't used it in a studio situation though.

The UAD version of ye ol' Roland Space Echo sounds pretty convincing, I suppose.
I've gotten away from that Dub/Hip-hop delay approach. But, if that's what you want, you know where to go. Keep in mind, you can pull off the same trick with the PSP Delays (it cuts with a lot more "red" and "orange" timbre ).
