How to calculate plugin latency?

im still stuck in the dark ages on logic 5.5, and it doesnt have plugin delay compensation on the busses/auxes. Im trying to compress a drum buss and leave another drum buss dry, but my compressors of choice introduce too much latency and i get horrible phasing.
I need to delay the dry buss manually, but i have no idea how much latency the compressors introduce. i've been doing it by ear, but i'd like to be more precise. Is there a plugin or utility somewhere that i can use to calculate the delay introduced by the suspect plugins?
or if there isnt could someone please tell me the delay introduced by voxengo marquis?

thanks.
