Question Ext. Hard Drives - Can I use power strip to turn all on?

I have amassed a number of external hard drives for Time Machine; Logic Data, and file storage. Is it possible to plug them all into one switchable power strip and use it's switch to turn on all drives at once???

Not sure if the hard drives themselves have a power sequence of some sort that requires the use of the power switch on EACH external drive.

Thanks for any info you can offer!
