Apple announces FinalCutPro 4 - with AudioUnit support!

check out http://www.apple.com for info on FCP 4 and the new Soundtrack app that is basically like Acid for video editors that allow them to put together scores for video content using loops. The great announcement for us here is that FCP now has automated audio mixing and that both FCP and Soundtrack support AudioUnits. Among the AudioUnits included with these programs are all of Logic's built-in plugins! Also announced is Shake 3.0 for OSX. The revolutionary thing about the Shake update is that it will use "Rendevous" (Apple's plug-and-play networking technology) to recognize PowerMacs and XServes on the network, and will distribute rendering tasks among the computers. How cool will it be when we can use that same technology to distribute DSP tasks from Logic and other DAWs among multiple computers?!

And Logic is now officially treated like an Apple product - among the professional suite of Apple software: Final Cut Pro / DVD Studio Pro / Shake / Logic

Pretty killer bunch of apps huh?
