New Mac Book Pro and RME Fireface 800?

I’m just about to buy a new computer and got some questions for you guys. I’m looking at a Mac Book Pro as the main computer for my small studio. I’ll be running Cubase 5 and a RME Fireface 800. I’m a hard ware addict, so I’m not using to many plug ins. I’m also using Max/msp/jitter for audio and video programming.
  • I’ve heard about the new MBP having a “bad” chipset for the RME. Is this true? How will it affect my setup?
  • I’m looking at the 2,53 GHz model. But I guess I could afford the 2,8 GHz model. Do you think it would make any difference?

I'm in the same situation as you pal!

As far as i know it's SUPOSED to work, if it doesn't you need a firewire repeater.
