Lightbulb which hi-end audio card to buy?

I'm split between the two:
MOTU 424pci + (2x) MOTU HD192
or
SSL Mixpander pci(or MADI Xtreme pci) + (2x) SSL Alpha-link MADI AX

Has anyone had experience with both and could reccomend one?
My setup is a Trident ninety analog console, pepped up with some outboard preamps(focusrite, TLAudio, TCElectronic), my DAW is Cubase.

HELP!

SSL all the way

Go with "SSL-rock solid drivers for PC. If you are using PC, stay faaaaaarrrrrrr awwwwaaaayyyyy from MOTU. Motu is built for Mac, despite what the 'ads' say

I have had the Mixtreme and the Motu. The Mixtreme is defintely a better sounding device. Ther is some relationship with SSL now. It was Sydec and before that something else. I have never personally had eny problems with the Motu hardware or drivers on the PC and/or Mac, but everyone can have different experiences dipending on you chipset and hardware. I would defintely recommend the Mixtreme over the other choice. I actually use a mac and Apogee now, but i would say the Mixtreme is still a great sounding audio card.
