IR impulses sampling rate

someone told me that is useless using sampling rate at 48k instead 44.1k for audio because the cd is at 44.1 .. unless you are making OST which are at 48k

that's why the cpu round off some decimal.. i don't know exactly the point..

he says.. if you can use 88.2, if not 44.1 is better because there isn't different between 44.1 and 48 at the end of the process and your cpu will be less stressed..

so i'm using 44.1 now..

but what about IR on the space designer? i'm using halls of fame at 48k.. and 32 bits.. so i have to use it at 44.1 or is better using it at 48k because is an internal sample rate?

i mean if you run at 48k a project born at 44.1 will be stretched, will change the tempo and the pitch.. happen the same in a project at 44.1 if i use a IR at 48k? the audio that pass through the reverb will be pitched?
