Strange File Behavior

Last night my band mate exported some .aif files from his G5 running DP6, put them on a thumbdrive, and then I put them on my intel MBP. When I opened the files they were playing too fast.

My first thought was a sample rate problem so we checked his files, they were 16bit 44.1K on his machine. We played them on his machine in Quicktime, iTunes, and in DP and they sounded fine.

When I open the same files they were indeed 16bit 44.1K, but no matter what I opened them in Ableton (warp off), Quicktime, Logic, Amadeus, or iTunes, they were playing too fast.

I even tried resampling the files to .wav, to 48K, 44.1K, 24bit, and 16bit, in Amadeus but its always the same. The files play too fast.

Anyone have any idea whats going on here?
