Question about loading sample in ESx 24

I want to load say a conga into the ESX 24 in Logic 8 and say I want to have it play the same notes on the key board as the bass line. I know there is a way to do this, can someone help me with this?

Copy and paste from one track into the other? Maybe I don't understand the question....

You have to open the EXS Editor window and create a new Instrument. Then you can drag the sample you want to be played in this window. A window will appear asking you for the root key of the sample.

Basically that´s it. You can now save the instrument and use it on any midi track. There are some more options in the editor window which have pretty good explanations in the Logic online manual.
