New Computer, Oh-Ay-Oh

Hi there,
I've done my homework searching thru this forum and I think I've got the specs for what I need figured out.

Can I get a comment or two on this computer set up. Plan to run Sonar 7, usually not more than 24 tracks, usually not more than 20 basic plugs as I will usually burn the effects to a track to save on CPU usage (maybe I won't need to do that any more??) Anyways, here we have it:

Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0Ghz with 1MB Cache
2048Mb (2GB) RAM DDR2
SATA 160GB Hard disk drive
Intel 82951G video with 128MB RAM
Samsung DVDRW Dual Layer Multifunction DVD Burner
Broadcom Nextreme 5700 Integrated Gigabit ethernet adapter for your DSL and cable needs (I'll yank this)
SoundMax Digital Audio - Sound Blaster Compatible (and this)
8 USB ports (2 in front) with USB 2.0
25 pin Printer port (bye bye)
9Pin Serial Port
External VGA Monitor Port - Connect to any desktop monitor

This is for $269 from siliconxchange on Ebay.

I'll be doing a fresh install of Win XP, upgrading to a dual monitor card, running a UAD1, Frontier Designs Dakota and Sierrra. I guess I'll start using the USB ports instead of everything thru the Sierra now that I think of it...

Thanks in advance!!!!

For $269, it's not bad. If it's an LGA 775 socket, you may be able to upgrade to a faster CPU (Pentium Dual Core, or maybe a Core 2) after the fact, which would be a big difference. What are you upgrading from?

Hi there,
I'm coming up from a custom box I had made about 10(?) years ago. Running Win 2K and Sonar 2. Man, its been a while....... Ready to kick the old PC to the curb.
As far as the components of the old system I can't even remember.
