Leopard / Powercore Firewire Hell...

hi - just wondered if anyone can shed some light on my Mac Pro / PoCo Firewire problems as I don't think TC have a much of a clue.

system:
mac pro 2x3.2ghz quad-core Intel Xeon running 10.5.6
Logic 8.0.2.
4 x Firewire hard drive externals
euphonix mc mix
motu PCIe - 424

this was all working till a couple of days ago, now it's glitching like hell and powercore messenger says:

the process synchronization between plugin and powercore driver failed, the process request to the powercore driver failed or the communication between the plugin and the powercore driver failed.
the powercore utility area that displays the software version 'flicks' about once a second between the current version and 0.0.0.0 in an odd way.

I've re-installed powercore software countless times, reset my p-ram [ whatever the intel equivilent is ], done preferential treatment, and disk utility, I've also tried the PoCo on my old G5 [ works fine ] and tried a different firewire lead. nothing works still the same problem. I've run it without the Euphonix as well just incase it was the ethernet.

it seems worst of all on all tc plugs like MD3, classicverb, etc the sony oxfords for some reason don't seem to be affected?

I've tried TC support they weren't much help, thought I'd ask here...

... computers are such a bore sometimes.

hope u can help.

ok for the record and for anyone else with this problem, this is solved

the culprit, in my case:
studio devil virtual bass amp

this plug in sounds great! I recommend giving it a try, but I was using the trial version but it's lethel to my setup, utterly wrecked the powercore on my version of leopard. took out the AU plug in from component folder. re-installed the powercore software and back to rock solid again.
