if your talking bout a " real " tempo change like bar X tempo Y changing to Z you simply have to set the locator to the point where the tempochange happens ... divide the tracks at those points and do your processes . thats how it works for me

how does it work in protools if i change the session tempo and want the single cutted files to stay at their original bar possitions ???

Region conform in Beat Detective. Wait. You mean audio or midi?

still running pt 5.0.1 / no beatdetective

i cut f.ex a bassdrum ( audio ) on existing session tempo X .
bassdrum is placed f.ex 1 & 3 .
if i change now the tempo to Y , the bassdrum should stay on its " original " bar positions .
but it looks like its staying on its original " time positions " .

thats probably easy , but i still havent found the command in protools

Hope i'm not too late.

If i understand you correctly, the audio goes out of time only after the audio is chopped up and the tempo changes.

The way Logic handles regions is in respect to it's Midi Position and not it's relative time in SMPTE. So the audio is in the place when played, but as soon as a tempo change is recieved it moves them! To stop this you have to lock the track with the padlock icon which appears next to the mute and rec buttons. It can be found under the view window. Once this is done the tempo can be changed and the audio stays in its recorded place.

I think, and hope, this helps.

All the best
