Pro Tools: DAE-4 followed by an 9003 error ??

who here has had the DAE-4 followed by an 9003 error ?

did you find what caused it? how did you fix it?

the system is PT HD 7.4 on a G5 but I'd be interested in hearing from anyone on any system

(edit: it turned out the fault was a faulty card, other than the core card)

thanks

anyone?

a quick google suggests it is a hardware related error, and most commonly due to bad connections somewhere in the system.

anyone?

thanks

I would try and re-seat your cards as the first thing , could be as simple as a speck of dust ......

I am having the exact same problem with the same computer and single card system. It worked fine the day I got it then I didnt use the system for about 2 months and now I keep getting this -4 and 9003 business.

This new card was to replace a system that was water damaged by a plumber. What is really sucky is the card I had that was manufactured in 2006 survived being doused with water and is still working in someone else's computer and the new one worked for one night before it crapped out...

I have tried reseating the card in slots 1 and 2, swapping the interface cable, and even cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser, also reinstalled all the software...

Any advice to help or am I going to have to send this thing back to digi?
