TC Powercore Vs Universal Audio UAD-1

Anyone had a chance to compare these two (supposedly cool) bits of kit.
I'd appreciate any shared experiences involving either or both.

I tried them both and found that the UAD-1 suited me best.
The compressors and eq in the UA smoked the PC(IMHO)
I really liked the reverb too.
Now the powercore have a lot of 3rd party support and is a totally different product(softsynths ect...)
So it really depends on what you need....

You could run the Sony Oxford eq on the TC card... heh

Is anyone out there using both of these cards on one PC?

If so, do you know if they will both work with Cubase SX or Sonar?

Thanks in advance.

I was thinkin UAD1 + Powercore but mabye i should go
Powercore all the way till my pci´s/buswidth runs dry.

Classic verb and Oxford are the main reasons.
I still have not heard any users talking about 24/7 ?
Well , i read at Bombfactorys site something about that i did not
emulate whatever vintage gear it supposed to copy.
I just want to get some impressions if its usable, not if the
compression-graphs mismatch.

The Assimilator for Powercore would fit me good. I use some software similar app sometimes but they soaks my DAW.

AND finally, mabye im just dreamin, but if Sony Dynamics were
released for Powercore, could really UAD fight for a pci slot
in a multicard setup ?

Wait for the UAD-8. Same specs as the UAD-1 but with ADAT I/O on the back.
This will free up precious bandwith since the sound dones´t have to travel
the PCI bus back and forth.

My suggestion. Get the UAD-8 and the Powercore. Best of 2 worlds.

Best,
Jens
