Group delay compensation on Cubase.

I was thinking about this last night as I was trying to do parallel compression on drums: Endorphin on 1 group, and the dry drums on another. In this situation, there are bad phasing problems...but when I use a UAD plug-in, say, Fairchild, instead of a native plug-in such as Endorphin, there is no phase.

Why would it not occur with a UAD plug-in? Parallel compression on groups is a new thing that I'm starting to implement, so I never really thought about it before.

Are there ways around this? I wonder why every plug-in manufacturer does not include a wet/dry knob on all of the their compressors, like Voxengo usually does?

It can only occur if the plugin reports bad latency to the host. Else the host take care of the delay caused by the plugin.
