Audio Damage "Replicant" plug-in

It looks like this plug came out under the radar because of all the cool stuff coming out of NAMM today <img src="https://www.gearslutz.com/board/images/smilies/sulkoff.gif">

Looks cool...

been using it for a couple of weeks now... tends to get pretty usable results, as long as you try to tame the cliched bits!

When did their Rat Shack EQ come out? I've been hearing about that for some time but didn't know it was out...

By "EQ" do you mean the Ratshack Reverb? (Which is actually an analog delay model.) It is actually one of our earliest products, almost 3 years old.

For what it's worth, we thought about doing the paragraphic EQ they also released (I bought one for that purpose) but it was just so bad, we couldn't see the point in it.

Yeah Replicant is pretty cool - if it could cycle through 4 or 8 bars instead of just one it would be perfect. As it is I find myself bouncing down effected parts and then moving them around where I want them. It's easy to overdo tho too - I find the subtler the better to just add a bit of life/variation to loops.

I must say that the Ratshack Reverb is something I use all the time for it's subtle distortion on the mic slider without the delay/reverb! Also it can be a great "stereo-izer" if you turn down everything except the depth slider. In general I think the AD plugs are pretty sweet - I find more uses for them every time I pull them up...
