Audiosuite "Gain" function in PT?

Yeah, I know "Normalize" is no good, but is the gain function ok?

The only reason I'm using it is that my girl is putting a bunch of LP's on CD and the tape monitor output from my preamp is low and I'm thinking this is the easy way to gain them up.

I just want to gain them up and export the stero file. If I was actually working on "something" I'd gain stage it right.

thx

Max

The Audiosuite Gain function is no different then rasing the gain on the channel fader, or any fader for that matter. Purely a Gain stage.

For the project you are doing, normalizing is fine. It is really just accurate gain adjustment after all is said and done. Its just professional music production where Normalizing is a bit of a lame solution.

Hope that's what you were lookin for,
Peace
