PLUGIN OF THE YEAR - 2015!!! or TOP 3!!!

Hey Guys/Gals, since there have been some incredible plugins this year already and we know that SKnote is coming with a distressor and Lindell is coming with a 2254 compressor, who do you think has the plugin of the year as of yet?

This one is hard since there are some incredible plugins out now.

Here's what I think...

1. Klanghelm's - MJUC

2. SKnote's - SDC

3. Waves's - dbx160

So far this is the TOP 3 this year for me. All compressors since I use them the most.

What about you guys.

This list may change after the release of SKnote's Distressor but for right now, I'm sticking with this!

Thanks to these plugin companies for making me smile.

Funny, I already enjoyed some awesome dongle free reverbs prior to the H-Reverb. Acon Digital Verberate is an incredible neutral/transparent reverb, I think it's even cleaner than Phoenixverb. Valhalla VintageVerb has some awesome algorithms as well in my opinion.

I can't think of a top3 at the moment, simply because I'm not sure my favorite recent additions where introduced this year or not. So, let me name one favorite 2015 plugin of mine, it's released very recently: UAD AKG BX-20 Spring reverb. It's awesome, unlike any other reverb I know. Not my goto reverb, but when it works it's like hitting the jackpot!! :-)

It's no contest: Klanhelm MJUC.

Do not be fooled by the price. This thing rocks.

I'm down with MJUC and SDC. But special nod to sound brigade from sknote. It's changed how I process things. It's quite special.

Okay, I know that my favorite plugins of this year are released for a long time but I use them just since 2015.

Waves API 550A, 550B & 2500.

So sweet!

That's OK. It's cool to re-recognize an oldy as your new top plugin.

One of my honorable mention plugins is the McDSP Analog Channel 202 & 101.

I second the admiration for MJUC, SDC and VMR. As great as MJUC and SDC are,
i think VMR takes it so far imho, mainly for its
two stellar eqs. Also clariphonic dsp mkii should be in the top 3 list.

Better than UAD's version? I ask because I only have the UAD version and and haven't used Waves anything for a long time and am curious.

I have tried uad version only one time and i have tried waves demo and imho waves version is absolutely the winner. Anyway I'm not a big fan of dbx 160

For me, MJUC is the absolute and indisputable king. TDR Kotelnikov is another stunning tool that is indispensable in my productions. Kazrog KClip would be my third plug of the year.

Nover heard of the Acon - I'll check that out. The Valhalla verbs are great but not so much for my purposes - i demoed them but never pulled the plug. H-reverb is the best I've heard so far, and the functionality is great.

I'm having a tough time with only 3...

Pearl
Mjuc
SDC

Waiting to try Soundbrigade. Honey is stunning (didn't buy though it's discounted this weekend). I really enjoyed my ten day demo. KKlip is nice... Only demo'd but very easy, good results and seems prime for being killer with announced upgrades. Burnley was also a nice plug...

With a larger budget each would have been purchased. All worthwhile.

But I would trade pearl for ANYthing.
