Yep, that is correct. I’m on Logic and that works.

Post is simple, increase buffer. No problem here and I’m using a laptop.

Tough call and probably lean towards your preference for soundpaint also. But...I do think SplitEQ, Physion and Tverb are worth $90. Still, probably get more mileage from the legato winds.

So back on topic then, at least for 1 post

I use PA:

- Metric AB. There is no comparison for me, and without a doubt my most favorite PA plugin.
- SSL-4000E. Sometimes like it better than the UAD version, except on vocals where I like the UAD more.
- SSL-9000J. Love this on piano
- bx_digital V3. Great for the widener, solo maker and M/S
- BlackBox HG-2. Sometimes like it more than Decapitator or Vulture Culture.
- bx_control. Quick stereo tools and nice widener.
- bx_refinement. Can be your secret weapon in de-harshing.
- BAX EQ. Man, the high shelve on this thing!
- SPL Transient Designer. A classic.

Used, but dropped due lack of native silicon support:

- Lindell 80. One of the best sounding Neve channels around.
- Lindell 50. Do have the UAD vision as well, but the UI of this one is nicer.

Recently also got the AMEK 9099, but did not spend enough time with it to have an opinion.

The rest I do not use. Not because the plugins are bad or worse than others, but because I like the way the ones I'm used to work and sound. So no need to switch.

Just a note for those after Model 82, I haven't tried it myself, but I don't imagine it is as useful as D16's LuSH-101 which Is far more expensive at the moment .....but it occasionally is cheap...I got it for $44 from JRR on a special promotion back in 2020

Just be aware, I don't think it works at all on macOS anymore. I imagine there will be a 2.0 at some point with Apple Silicon support.

I’ve had Sigmund for awhile and never been able to connect with the UI or the sound... idk, maybe I need to keep trying... of all the d16 plugs I have, the flanger Antresol, is my fave and most used... Devastor is good as well... thinking bout picking up Tekturon with their next sale.

I only use it on drums....didn't actually occur to me to try it on anything else till now.
