A2IM Marks Largest Presence at MIDEM 2012, Contributes to Global Indie Manifesto Debate

Now in its seventh year at MIDEM, the American Independents Pavilion helps mark A2IM's largest presence ever at the world's premier international music business trade event, with more than 300 members from 135 American independent music community companies from across the U.S.

In addition to hosting their nightly sunset cocktail parties at the American Independents Pavilion, which have become a popular forum for networking, after days spent in deal-making meetings at the A2IM stand, A2IM will participate in Sunday's Indie summit being led by WIN and Impala with the goal to develop a global Manifesto for the Independent music industry. The invitation-only event will address the urgent need for independents to unite on issues globally and will result in a ten-point Manifesto to be released on Monday, January 30.

A2IM President Rich Bengloff will be one of the Manifesto speakers, which will be followed by an open debate and decision on the final collective viewpoints. Other speakers at the landmark event include Beggars Group Chairman Martin Mills, AIM CEO and WIN Chairman Allison Wenham, Impala Executive Chair Helen Smith, and VUT Germany Chairman Mark Chung.
