Free droplet for afclip

I wrote a small script that makes afclip (the clip-check-utility of the 'mastered for iTunes'-package) a little more useful for me.

If you drag any audio files supported by afclip on it, it basically just processes them with afclip and writes (appends, so you can always check back later) the output to a file 'afclip.log' on the desktop.

You can download it here.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6294640/Kos...roplet.app.zip

It is provided as it is, and it's admittedly just a quick hack.
afclip has to be located in /usr/local/bin for this to work, since I'm working with absolute paths (yes I know..).
That's the default location it is put when installed.

Cheers,
Kosmo

Cheers Kosmo.

This absolutely made my day, saving me hours of realtime checking for clips with roundtrip.

I'm donating all my intersample clips to you after I'm done with them.

Same here, very handy script to avoid typing in Terminal.
You can even drop a whole album of m4a's on it and wait for the log of (hopefully) non-clips to appear.

Thank you Kosmo!

Ha! Didn't even know I still had this up. To be honest, I never updated the thing after initial release, so I can't say anything about if it works properly on newer OS versions.
Happy use!

I guess that my problem is that afclip is not getting installed. When I type afclip in Terminal window, he computer can't find it. It finds afconvert fine. In the install package, afclip is on an extras folder. Do I have to do anything special to install it?

I had the same problem on OS X 10.10.5 two days ago.
Try with an older version, the current download might be buggy.
I had an older version, that worked immediately.

Kosmo,
The dropbox file is no longer there.
Any chance you could repost?

Thank you!

By older version do you refer to the download available on the MFiT page for earlier OS?

This is what I did. Installed the old version and once I got afclip working, then installed the current version and everything is working.

Kosmos, thanks for the droplet.

Still works in Catalina if you use Automator to change the shell type to zsh

more than 7 years later. Wow!
Great reminder of my 'old life', as I switched into another audio field and don't master anymore except for friends once in a while.
Moved the B&W802 and the nCore amp into the living room.
Hope you're all doing great!
