If you take digital out of Bmc2 into a digital speaker via Aes converter. Are you able to use The mono functions, etc ? Or that only happens with the analog out

Everything is fully functional.. cut (mute), mono, volume of course, ref. level etc.
AES-3 devices (eg. balanced on XLR) can be easily interfaced via suitable Neutrik 75->110 ohm transformers.

I’m surprised there isn’t a digital monitor controller. The problem is level matching. I’m using my Apollo now with a neutrik adapter, but someone in the forum said not to use the Apollo volume knob which leaves my analog speaker at a fixed volume. Kind of a pain. Still have my eye out for a digital in to digital out and analog out so I can have both pairs with no hassle

The Grace monitor controllers do that.
As does the MTRX/AX32 ProMon.

Both do digital and analogue.

Any RME interface with digital and analogue outs and an RME ARC controller can be a monitor controller thanks to TotalMix. Almost all the 1U and 1/2U boxes can run standalone after setting up (they have memory onboard to store the TotalMix setup and then you can control the whole unit from the ARC for inputs/outputs/level/talkback/cue mixes/etc.)
Far under $5k.

There are already solutions
