Mastering Tutorial

Is there a listening CD or DVD Tutorial That covers in compete detail how to listen for frequencies, and teach you how to address those frequencies ?

the way to learn how to do this is to mix (or master) through high quality speakers in a properly treated room, and listen to and critique your results on every available system. This will help you learn how your speakers respond and how accurate they are for making these EQ decisions. Trial and error really is the best way to learn in this case, no tutorial will teach you to master.

A real mastering tutorial!!!!!???????????

One could get to a very old age, looking for one.
I suggest, read a lot, then try a lot, and maybe even ask a lot, and hopefully, you'll learn a lot.

It ain't just my two cents, but a whole dollar, mate.

Sincerely,
FD

There are 3-day classes that you could attend. I know several well know ME's that give basic instruction on what to listen for and give you steps from start to finish on delivering a "pre-master" for replication.

Bruce

There are quite a few schools with courses in mastering. I would also suggest Dave Moulton's Golden Ears CDs along with the suggestions above.
