Ampeg B4R connection to Audio Interface?

Setting up some new stuff in my home studio and I came across an idea.

Connecting my Ampeg b4r bass amp head into my Motu 8 pre audio interface. Could that work or how would I even go about doing that because the wattage is so high on the b4r it may blow it out.

How would I even connect these two? The D.I or the Ampeg to the mic input of the interface? Or maybe through the Ampegs FXs unit? I have no idea but I feel like it would be really cool to have.

If there is a way or if someone could help me out that would be amazing!

Thanks.

The DI output is designed for exactly that - you get the tone of the preamp (although not the effect of the power amp/cab).

If it's not working - you're either doing something wrong or something in the path is broken.

Without being there with you, on that amount of info it's impossible to diagnose.

Describe exactly what you're trying to do - what connections, what cables etc. Do you get a signal if you replace the DI output with a dynamic mic (ie is the computer part set up correctly)? Do you have to turn the DI output on?

It's almost certainly user error.

Moved to Low end Theory - it's not really computer music territory.
