I'm hoping to keep my layla24 interface which has been awesome in that it's got great converters and can be hooked up to either a PC or a laptop. Thing is I need a newer laptop which has more RAM and processing power. Is there a way to get a PCMCIA slot put into a new laptop or am I out of luck?
I did some surfing to see if a USB to PCMCIA exists and one place I looked that seems to sell something like that stated that their devices are meant for memory cards and they often won't work for I/O controllers.
Does anyone know if there's room in a modern day new laptop to purchase and pop in a PCMCIA slot?
