Lightbulb AKG c4000b and a "???" for acoustic n vox

Hey guys…

Got an AKG c4000b
Works great with vocals…nice lows and controlled highs with slight warmth…neutrally RICH if I would say…tenny meeny muddy...but good processing gets great results.

I have been tracking miced acoustic guitars recently. My mic positions :
(vertically) above hole position
(horizontally) at neck joint.

My next stunt is hanging the AKG from my right shoulder (right handed player) at slightly below ear level and have another mic pointing towards the 12-15th fret.

Can you guys suggest a second mic.
- Should be multi-purpose (vox, acoustic and maybe an AMP)
- It should be different (if not better) from the AKG.
- I record both inside the booth and the control room sometimes…so it should be quiet too.

Average budget $200.

FYI.. I reviewed RODE NT1A… might be a good option for acoustic…but figured that its harsh for vocals…too much sib. Don’t need an overly harsh mic as new strings and playing technique maintains rich dynamics and the rest I can always process.

Seen some graphs on the CAD site…look well controlled. They got some sort of guitar mic package out…but it seems like a classic guitar capturing thingy.

BTW...is solid top a must...iam satisfied with my non-solid top. Positioning is the real sensitive key.

Please suggest !

Oktava mk319 might be a good choice. It's got a mellow, darker sound than the AKG. Far less sibilance issues than most (all?) lower priced LDCs. You should be able to find them used for way under your budget.
