Question About S/PDIF

I Keep seeing two channel mic preamps that only have one S/PDIF output. I'm just confused as to how the two chanels get seperated. For instance if you were recording to a computer, would two chanels still be recorded?

Feel like a noob haha

If the pre is a 2 channel, it will be sent to your comp or intermediary piece by one cable. In your DAW, you should see a choice for input, one of two sdif inputs.

S/PDIF is stereo ; even if there's only one RCA plug for input and one for output...
