...of the 2 MT Gefell heads - which one do you usually prefer the M71 or UM70? thx

Actually I have 3 heads, 2x UM70 and 1x M71. The M71 sounds very similar to one of the UM70s, while the other UM70 sounds slightly different. I talked to Andreas Grosser (RIP) about that and he said that the sound differences originates in the state of deterioration of the PVC in the capsule´s membrane. It hardens and hence sounds harder with less lowend and less "HiFi" highend. These are different colors for me and I use the head according to it´s sound character. Therefore I made a stickers on the storage boxes so that I know which capsule has which character. Since all that has to do with the actual state of the capsule, I don´t think that a comparison between UM70 and M71 can be generalized.

I use a PR-35 these days... had to replace it after the first one was destroyed... I'm afraid my primary guitar send to the house lately comes through a powered monitor from a Strymon box....

The Lewitt's are my most recent mics and they always deliver the goods. The LCT 240 PRO's have been surprisingly good for electric guitar cabs, as are my pair of MTP 440 DM's when paired with a 57. The 240's deliver without having to be paired with a 57 so I'm really pleased with them.

Started 20years ago with a SP C1 (total fall damage) and two Behringer C2 first charge wich where amazing for its price of 29€ in 2002, but someone grapped it at a occupy movement concert but therefore i found a SM58 on the stage, as well owned a SE X1T for 100bugs what i stupidly sold. Now my "low cost" collection has grown, my total costs for these used, in supersale, as donation 11 mics were something around 500€+ Mindprint DiPort 560€
I know somekind of an upgrade costs me at least 500 and more for one condenser mic, or preamp, but at the moment I´m still happy with my stuff.
