energyXT and Live Lite

Hello all here is my first post. I was reading the thread Cubase vs Reaper and thought i would start this one. I am using Cubase SX 1.06 and Ableton Live 7 lite. I haven't used newer versions of Cubase, although I assist a friend that has Cubase 4 essentials. I plan on upgrading my poor old PC to run the newer apps and have been looking at some of the software available. I am playing around with the demo of EnergyXT 2 and like the concept of collaberation with others via flash drives. I have several musician friends on both Mac and PC. I notice that after the registration is complete, one can transfer the Energy XT folder and all it's contents to a flash drive and send it to others on both platforms. I am considering buying it as it is inexpensive. Anyone here tried doing the flash drive thingy? Here is the url in case it hasn't been posted before

Also just getting into using Live but am worried about my limited cpu. I will continue to follow the Cubase vs Reaper thread as I am researching options for fellow songwriter and want to be able to make some wise recommendations.
