Best Budget M1 Mac Audio Interface - Guitar Playing Only

First post here so sorry if i posted in an incorrect subforum,

I currently have 2 computers (PC & M1 Mac) and 1 audio interface. Main audio interface is Arturia Audiofuse Studio and it's connected to my PC.

Because i'm lazy, I do not want to plug & unplug my audio interface everytime i connect my Mac running Logic Pro X as DAW.

So for my M1 Mac i'm looking looking for a budget interface that has below criterias:

- No compatibility issues on M1 Macs

- Has decent Instrument input since i'll only play electric guitar with it. Mic preamp quality is not that important for now. I know the quality changes within different brands so this is the most important feature i seek.

- Single channel/input is ok for me

- Should have good value of RTL with M1 Mac Mini 16GB within Logic Pro X. For the reference, Arturia has 12,2ms RTL with 128 samples which is bit annoying, my HX Stomp has better values.

- Compact size & bus powered features is a plus for me

So far my candidates are:

- Audient ID4 Mkii (strongest option for me)

- Audient Evo4 (i read that it shares same JFet DI with ID4 so might give that a try)

- Focusrite Scarlett Solo

- M-Audio M-Track Solo (cheap)

- Behringer UMC204HD (also cheap & suspicious)

Any thoughts & recommendations would be more then welcome.

Those are all fair choices I think.

Did you consider the Audient Sono?
From the specs it could be perfect for you.

Or maybe the new Universal Audio interface: Volt?

I went with the ID4. Latency wise, it gave exactly the same values as Audiofuse Studio. Onthe other hand i can say it has decent DI input. I guess i should try something with a TB connection for latency.

Good choice!

But don’t let connection fool you. Sure, TB can move more data than USB but if we are talking 1 or 2 channels you are unlikely to notice any difference in latency due to that. More with choice of interface due to internal choices of parts and a well written driver.
